Walt DeVries...he's running for office!!!

The keys on our computers and the ringers on our phones nearly went out of commission when news spread that Executive Director Emeritus, Walt DeVries, had decided to do the unthinkable... RUN FOR PUBLIC OFFICE! By now, many of you may have heard that Walt has, in fact, thrown his own hat into the ring and is running for the Board of Alderman at Wrightsville Beach, NC. He says many have asked to see his campaign plan and stand-up. He promises he's got them both!

Walt is running because he sees a need for new leadership at Wrightsville Beach, where he and his wife Lois have called home for 33 years. He is running on the platform of "bringing sunshine into Wrightsville Beach government". We all wish Walt great success in his campaign as he has done so for the Fellows of IOPL for over 18 years!

For more information or if you'd just like to talk to Walt he can be reached at 9 Bahama Drive, Wrightsville Beach, NC 28480 or waltdv@ec.rr.com
