10-B
Paul Ridgeway, Spring 2000, is running for Superior Court Judge
in Wake County in Judicial District 10-B. Ridgeway, who has
practiced law in Wake County for 20 years, served as president of
the Wake County Bar Association and the 10th Judicial District Bar.
He is running for the seat vacated by the resignation of Judge
Evelyn Hill in January 2006. Paul is a graduate of the NCSU Masters
of Public Administration program and has his law degree from
Campbell University School of Law (cum laude 1986), where he served
as Editor-in-Chief of the law review. He has extensive professional
experience in a wide range of commercial law areas, non-profit
representation, and public policy issues and is an adjunct professor
of law at Campbell University, where he teaches course on commercial
law topics.
"For the past 20 years, I have worked hard for my clients as a
trial lawyer to help resolve disputes among individuals and
businesses, and have help hundreds of businesses start and grow
throughout North Carolina," says Ridgeway. "It would be an honor to
use this experience to serve the citizens of Wake County and this
State as a Superior Court Judge."

NC Senate District 14
Republican Richard Doeffinger, Fall 2005, is running for NC
Senate from District 14.
Richard believes "our founding fathers had a vision for this
nation. A vision of freedom. The difference between the managing of

greater than yourself."

Patricia Oliver,
Clerk of Superior Court in Johnston County
Democrat Patricia Oliver, Fall 2004, is a candidate for Clerk of
Superior Court in Johnston County.
When asked of her intentions, Oliver responded with "I am just an
ordinary person, raised on sharecroppers' farms here. I am not a
politician. I am an American. I plan, with re-organization and
budgeting, to get the clerks office out of the 19th century and into
the 20th century. The office will be responsible, responsive and
user friendly. We will give the people the customer service they
deserve."
