Ripley Rand,
Superior Court Judge
Judge Ripley Rand, Spring 2003, is running for Wake County
Superior Court from District 10-B.
As a Special Superior Court Judge since 2002, Rand has served as
one of a small number of trial court judges who are routinely
assigned statewide to hear civil and criminal cases. On February 3,
2006, Governor Mike Easley appointed Rand to the Wake County
Superior Court seat formerly held by Evelyn Hill.
"As a judge presiding in courtrooms all over our state; a
prosecutor who prosecuted everything from speeding tickets to
domestic violence to murder; and a law clerk in both the state and
federal courts, I have the experience and perspective necessary to
continue being an effective judge on our Superior Court," Rand said.
You may contact Ripley at ripley.rand@gmail.com for more
information on his campaign.

Tony Michalek, Craven County Commissioner
Republican Tony Michalek, Fall 2005, is running for Craven County
Commissioner from District 5.
Tony feels his district has been under represented for the twelve
years he has resided in Craven County. He believes the district has
a lot of resources that have gone untapped and ignored.

Irene Phillips,

Hill,
